After bringing dark mode in facebook messenger, Facebook has added WhatsApp like “Quoted Replies” in facebook messenger conversations. Now you can directly “reply” the quoted message in messenger conversations.
For instance, To send quoted replies, you have to long press the selected message. Once you long press or hold the message, it lets you add a reaction or “reply” with a quote. If you tap on “reply”, you can reply the selected message and it shows a quoted version of the replied message. This feature is really handy when chatting in a group chat with many members. It is the same feature that we can find in WhatsApp. This is really helpful for those who are having continuous chat in the group.
According to Venture Beat, this feature was pushed in the latest facebook messenger update. You can check this feature by yourself in a group chat. The feature works for responding to individual text, photos, emoji, videos and GIFs. This feature was recently updated after Mark Zuckerberg announced to give more priority on privacy for its users and merge facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram. Likewise, Facebook has been pushing many updates recently which includes unsend, dark mode and quoted replies.
